Payroll giving for employees

Payroll Giving is a ‘give-as-you-earn’ scheme which lets you support The Free Store directly, each pay day. Your donation is taken out of your wage before tax, with a 33.3% tax rebate applied straight away.

As an example, for each $15 that The Free Store receives, the cost to you is only $10. The immediate rebate also means that you won’t need to claim donation tax rebates at the end of each tax year.

To start supporting The Free Store through Payroll Giving, print, complete and sign The Free Store Payroll Giving Request Form, then give it to your employer.

Payroll Giving to The Free Store is an easy way to boost staff morale by helping your employees meaningfully connect with their community. Because payroll giving is voluntary, employers can choose whether to offer the scheme to their employees. You can find out more about Payroll Giving for Employers on the Inland Revenue website.
